"When the Funding Agency is registered, this law starts the next day."

Illustration for Local Government Borrowing Act 2011

This Act starts on the day after the Funding Agency is registered under the Companies Act 1993. You need to know that the Funding Agency has to be registered first. The Act will begin the next day after that happens.

If the Funding Agency is not registered within 12 months of the Act being agreed to, then the Act will be cancelled on that day. This means the Act will stop being in force if the registration does not happen on time. You should be aware that there is a time limit for the registration to occur.

The registration of the Funding Agency under the Companies Act 1993 is what triggers the start of the Act.
