The Fencing Act 1978 makes some changes to older laws. It gets rid of some old rules that are listed in Schedule 3. But don’t worry, if someone started dealing with a fencing issue using the old rules before this new Act came into effect, they can still finish what they were doing. They’ll just use this new Act to complete and enforce their fencing matters. It’s like if you were playing a game with old rules, and new rules came out halfway through. You’d be allowed to finish your game using the new rules.
