You need to know what the Minister does after giving a policy statement or direction. The Minister must publish it in the Gazette as soon as possible. The Minister also publishes it on the Internet and gives a copy to the House of Representatives. You can find the policy statement in section 19 and the directions in section 31 or 41(1)(h). The Minister does this to make the information available to you. This helps you stay informed about what is happening. The Minister's actions are important because they help you understand the policy statement or direction. The Minister publishes the information in different ways to reach you. You can find the information in the Gazette, on the Internet, or through the House of Representatives.
