39: Cancellation of certificate

You could also call this:

"What happens if your sex worker certificate is cancelled"

If you have a certificate, it can be cancelled if you are convicted of a certain offence, which is listed in section 36(2), or if your waiver of disqualification is cancelled. The person in charge of certificates, called the Registrar, must cancel your certificate when they get notified about this. You will get a notification sent to the address you provided when you applied for the certificate. The cancellation of your certificate will take effect 5 days after the notification is sent to you. If your certificate is cancelled, you must return it to the District Court within 1 month, or you might commit an offence and have to pay a fine of up to $2,000 if you are convicted. You are expected to follow this rule to avoid any trouble.
