Prostitution Reform Act 2003

Miscellaneous provisions - Review of operation of Act and related matters by Prostitution Law Review Committee

43: Prostitution Law Review Committee

You could also call this:

"A group of 11 people chosen by ministers to review prostitution laws in New Zealand."

The Prostitution Law Review Committee has 11 members chosen by the Minister of Justice. You need to know that the Minister of Justice picks these members from different groups. The Minister of Justice chooses some members, and other ministers choose others, like the Minister of Women's Affairs and the Minister of Health. The Minister of Justice can remove a member from the committee if they cannot do their job or if they do something wrong. The committee stops existing when the Minister of Justice says so, after they have given their report as required by the section 42(1)(b)(vii).
