Litter Act 1979

Miscellaneous provisions

22: Repeals, revocations, and amendment

You could also call this:

"Changes to old litter laws: what's repealed, revoked, or updated"

When you look at the Litter Act 1979, you will see that some old laws are no longer valid. The Litter Act 1968 and the Litter Amendment Act 1970 are repealed. This means they are no longer laws.

You will also find that the Litter Order 1969 and the Litter Order 1973 are no longer in effect. They are revoked, which is similar to being repealed. Some changes have been made to other laws, which you can find in the Act(s).

These changes are part of the Litter Act 1979, and they help keep the laws up to date. You can see the updated laws by looking at the Act. The old laws are replaced by the new ones.
