Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975

4B: Appointment of Judge not to affect tenure, etc

You could also call this:

"Being on the Tribunal doesn't change a Judge's job or benefits"

If you are a Judge and you get appointed to be the Chairperson, deputy Chairperson, or a member of the Tribunal, it does not change your job as a Judge. You will still have the same rank, title, and pay as a Judge. Your service on the Tribunal is considered part of your job as a Judge, and it does not affect your superannuation or other benefits.
