Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975

8F: Directions as to service

You could also call this:

"Asking the Tribunal for help to notify others about your application"

When you make an application under section 8D, you need to ask the Tribunal for directions on how to serve the application. You do this by applying to the Tribunal on your own, which is called applying ex parte. You have to give the Tribunal a description of the land or interest in land that your application is about.

You must include a full legal description of the land or interest in land in your application. This description should be good enough for the Tribunal to figure out who might be affected by your application. Your application should also say what directions you think are suitable for serving your application.

Your application needs to be accompanied by a memorandum that explains why you think your suggested directions are appropriate. This memorandum can be written by your solicitor or someone else who is authorised to represent you. When you make this application, the Tribunal will decide what directions to give for serving your application.
