When you look at the Citizenship Act 1977, you will see some special rules. These rules are called transitional, savings, and related provisions. They are set out in Schedule 1AA and work according to what they say. You can find these rules in the act and they apply as stated. The rules are part of the law and you can read them in Schedule 1AA. They were added to the law on 14 August 2018 by section 28 of the Minors (Court Consent to Relationships) Legislation Act 2018.
