34Rights of local authorities not affected

  1. If the Board exercises any of its functions in relation to the naming of a geographic feature under this Act,—

  2. the rights and obligations of a local authority in respect of the geographic feature are not affected; and
    1. legal proceedings—
      1. are not invalidated solely because of the exercise of the function; and
        1. may be continued or commenced under the official geographic name approved, assigned, or altered under this Act.
