Persons to make and administer oaths
22By whom oath of allegiance and judicial oath to be taken
The oath of allegiance and the judicial oath shall be taken by each of the officers named in Schedule 2 as soon as may be after his acceptance of office.
The oaths to be taken under this section shall be administered by the following persons in such manner as the person administering the oath sees fit to adopt:
- in the case of the Chief Justice, a Judge of the High Court, or an Associate Judge of the High Court, by a Judge of the High Court:
- in the case of a Judge of the Court Martial, by the Judge Advocate General or a Judge of the High Court:
- in the case of a Judge of the Employment Court, by a Judge of the High Court or a Judge of the Employment Court:
- in the case of a Judge
of the Maori Land Court, by a Judge of the High Court or a Judge of the Maori Land Court: - in the case of any other officer referred to in Schedule 2, by a Judge of the High Court or a District Court Judge.
