Financial Markets Authority Act 2011

Financial Markets Authority - Provisions relating to divisions

16: Powers of division

You could also call this:

“The FMA can use smaller groups to make decisions and do tasks”

When the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) needs to decide on something, they can use a smaller group called a division. This division has the same powers as the whole FMA for the specific task they’re working on. The FMA can create these divisions to handle different matters.

If someone leaves the division or new people join, it doesn’t change what the division can do. They can keep working on their task without any problems.

The FMA can have more than one division working at the same time. Each division can make decisions and use their powers, even if another division is doing something else at the same moment.
