28Witnesses' expenses
If a person has appeared as a witness (whether or not under a notice under section 25), the FMA may, if it thinks fit, order any sum to be paid to that witness for his or her expenses.
That sum must not exceed the amount that would be payable to the witness if his or her attendance had been as a witness for the Crown in a criminal case in accordance with regulations for the time being in force for the payment of witnesses for the Crown in criminal cases.
