23Power to summon witnesses
An inquiry may issue a witness summons in writing to any person, requiring that person to attend and give evidence before the inquiry.
The witness summons must state—
- the place where, and the date and time when, the person is to attend; and
- the documents or things in that person's possession or control that he or she is required to produce to the inquiry; and
- the person's entitlement to be paid costs and travelling expenses, in accordance with section 25; and
- the penalty for failing to attend.
