16Release of foreign prisoner upon request by foreign country

  1. Where—

  2. a foreign prisoner is being held in custody in accordance with a direction of the Minister under section 15; and
    1. the foreign country from which the person has been brought requests the release of the person from custody,—
      1. the Minister shall direct that the person be released from custody.
