The Commissioner has some jobs to do. You can complain to the Commissioner about a Judge. The Commissioner looks at your complaint and decides what to do. The Commissioner can ask a special group to look into the complaint. If the Commissioner has a conflict of interest, they cannot deal with the complaint. This means they have a personal connection to the complaint. In some situations, the Commissioner does not deal with complaints, as stated in section 8B(1)(b)(i) and (ii). The Commissioner must send some complaints to the Head of Bench. This happens when the Deputy Commissioner sends a complaint to the Commissioner, as stated in section 8B(4). It also happens when the Commissioner has a conflict of interest. The Commissioner cannot question a Judge's decision in a legal case. The Commissioner has the power to do their job. This means they can do what they need to do to carry out their functions.
