The Governor-General can make regulations for certain purposes. You need to know what these purposes are. They include setting an annual fee to fund the Panel as stated in section 17. The Governor-General can also make regulations about fees and charges for this Act. You will have to pay these fees and charges when you do certain things. This can include exercising a power or function given to the Panel by this Act. The Panel can also require you to pay costs it incurs. Regulations can be made for other matters that are necessary for this Act. Regulations under this section are secondary legislation, which is explained in Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019.
