Auctioneers Act 2013

Application for registration

9: Information and material to be included in application

You could also call this:

“What you need to tell us when you want to become an auctioneer”

When you want to register as an auctioneer, you need to provide some important information. If you’re applying as an individual, you must give your full name, where you live, and when you were born. You also need to tell us the name of your auction business, where you plan to work from, and an address where we can send you mail. You have to say that you’re allowed to be registered, and you might need to give some other information too.

If you’re a company wanting to register, you need to tell us the company’s name, what you call your auction business, and where you plan to work from. You also need to give details about all the people who run the company, including their names, where they live, and when they were born. The company needs an address for receiving mail, and someone from the company needs to say that everyone involved is allowed to be registered. There might be some other information you need to give as well.

When you give an address for receiving mail, it needs to be a real street address. If you have a fax number or email address, you should include those too. You can’t use a PO Box or document exchange address for this.
