Sport and Recreation New Zealand Act 2002

Sport and Recreation New Zealand - Delegation by board

24: Certain powers must not be delegated

You could also call this:

"The board can't give away some of its important decision-making powers."

The board cannot give away some of its powers. You know the board is like a group of people who make decisions. They cannot give away the power to buy or sell land, or to borrow money. They also cannot give away the power to be in charge of a fund, except to a committee appointed under clause 14 of Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act 2004. The board also cannot give away the power to choose a chief executive. In other cases, section 73 of the Crown Entities Act 2004 applies to the board. This means the board has to follow the rules set out in that section when giving away its powers.
