4Overview
To achieve its purposes, this Act—
- extinguishes existing claims and bars future claims by
support workers under the Equal Pay Act 1972; and - specifies minimum hourly wage rates payable by employers to
support workers for work performed during the period starting on 1 July 2017 and ending on 31 December 2023; and - requires employers to provide support for
support workers to attain qualifications; and - provides for the funders to pay additional funding to employers towards the cost of employers’ obligations under this Act.
