When you have a permit or certificate to trade in endangered species, you must show it to an Endangered Species Officer. You do this when you are exporting or re-exporting, or when you are importing or introducing species from the sea. The officer you show it to is usually a Customs officer, but if one is not available, you can show it to any other Endangered Species Officer.
