You can be appointed by the Director to investigate someone's affairs. The Director can authorise you to exercise certain powers with a Serious Fraud Office member. You can also get a search warrant or help a constable execute one. You will be considered a Serious Fraud Office member for the investigation. The Director can give you these powers if you are not a constable. You must follow the rules in sections like section 5 and section 9. When you get a search warrant, you must follow section 15. This helps you do your job as an investigator. You work with a constable or Serious Fraud Office member to execute search warrants.
