Illustration for Sports Tribunal Act 2006

You are a member of the Sports Tribunal of New Zealand for a certain time. This time is called a term and it can be up to 5 years, unless something else is said in section 35. You can find out more about this in the Sports Tribunal Act 2006.

You can hold this office at the same time as another office you have, and you can be appointed again. If your term ends, you can keep being a member until you are appointed again or someone else takes your place. This is also covered in section 35 if something happens to you or you leave the office.

If you are a member and your term ends, you can still keep working as a member until someone new is appointed or you are appointed again.
