64Translation of notices

  1. Where—

  2. a notice in the prescribed form is required by section 6(2)(a), 8(2)(a), 24E(a), 24N, 30(2)(a), or 33(b) to be given to any person; and
    1. the first or preferred language of that person is other than English,—
      1. then—
      2. it shall be sufficient compliance with that requirement if the notice given to that person is an accurate translation of the prescribed form in the first or preferred language of that person; and
        1. it shall be sufficient compliance with the requirements of section 9(2) or, as the case requires, section 24G(2) or section 34(2) if that person’s consent to the taking of a bodily sample is signified on the notice so given to that person.
