Miscellaneous provisions
80Regulations
The Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, make regulations for all or any of the following purposes:
- prescribing procedures for the analysis of bodily samples taken pursuant to this Act:
- prescribing procedures for the storage of bodily samples taken pursuant to this Act:
- prescribing procedures relating to the undertaking of forensic comparisons, including (without limitation) procedures to ensure fairness and objectivity in the use of a DNA profile databank for the purpose of such comparisons:
- providing for the administration of a DNA profile databank:
- prescribing the forms of applications, notices, orders, and other documents for the purposes of this Act, and requiring the use of such forms:
- prescribing the procedure for the service of notices and other documents for the purposes of this Act:
- prescribing the amounts payable to any lawyer appointed pursuant to section 21 or section 41C(3):
- providing for such matters as are contemplated by or necessary for giving full effect to this Act and for its due administration.
Regulations under this section are secondary legislation (see Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements).
