You can be a representative on the Hauraki Gulf Forum for a certain time. The time you serve depends on who appointed you. If you are not a tangata whenua representative, the group that appointed you decides how long you serve. You serve for the time the Minister decides if you are a tangata whenua representative. The Minister makes this decision when you are appointed. This is how long you can be on the Forum.
