Illustration for Trusts Act 2019

When property is transferred to the Crown under section 149, you can find out about it online. The Secretary to the Treasury must put a notice on a website before 31 March each year, listing all the property that was transferred the year before. This notice will also say who the property came from, such as the trustees or trusts that it belonged to.

The Secretary must make sure the notice stays on the website for at least 3 years, so you can look at it if you want to. You can find the notice on an Internet site maintained by or on behalf of the Treasury, which will have information about property transferred under section 149. This way, you can see what property has been transferred to the Crown and where it came from.
