If you are Public Trust, a trustee, or a beneficiary, you can ask the court to decide who pays for the costs of an investigation. The court can give directions on how to split the costs of the investigation, including the investigator's pay and other expenses, between the trustees, some trustees personally, and some beneficiaries. You can ask the court to charge these costs to the trust property or to individual people.
