You could also call this:

"Rules for trusts with debt securities are a bit different"

When you have a trust for a debt security, this new section applies if the trust deed has been or will be lodged under section 103. You need to know that some parts of the Trusts Act 2019 do not apply to these trusts. These parts include duties like acting honestly and with care.

Some other parts that do not apply are about exemption and indemnity clauses, and keeping documents. You also do not have to follow parts about giving information to beneficiaries or the general powers of a trustee. Other parts that do not apply are about exercising trustee powers, special trust advisers, and trustees' indemnities.

More parts that do not apply are about appointing and discharging trustees, and terminating or varying trusts. You also do not have to follow parts about resolving disputes or investigating trust property. These exceptions are important to understand when you have a trust for a debt security.
