Children’s Commissioner Act 2022

Children’s Commissioner

18: Independence of Commissioner

You could also call this:

"The Commissioner works independently and makes their own decisions."

Illustration for Children’s Commissioner Act 2022

When you think about the Commissioner, you need to know they have to work on their own. The Commissioner must act independently when doing their job and making decisions under this Act and other laws that apply to them, except the Crown Entities Act 2004. This means the Commissioner has to make their own decisions without being told what to do by someone else.
