This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

Regulatory Standards Bill

Principles of responsible regulation and regulatory stewardship - Regulatory Standards Board - Inquiries

35: Board must give final report to certain persons

You could also call this:

"Board shares its final findings with important people"

This part of the bill says that when the board finishes looking into something, they have to give their final report to certain people. You need to know that this is about a proposed law, not one that's already in place.

The board must give a copy of their final report to the person who made the complaint, the head of the government department responsible for the law they looked at, the minister in charge of regulatory standards, and the minister responsible for the law they investigated.

When they talk about the 'complainant', they mean the person who used the system described in section 32 to say something was wrong. The 'chief executive' is the boss of the government department that looks after the law being investigated.
