Illustration for Referendums Framework Bill

The Electoral Commission has to cancel a promoter's registration if you are not allowed to be registered. They also have to cancel it if you ask them to and you have not spent too much money on referendum advertisements, more than the amount specified in section 44(b). You are not allowed to have spent this money before they cancel your registration.

If the Electoral Commission cancels your registration, they have to tell you in writing about the cancellation. They also have to tell you why they cancelled your registration. They have to do this within 10 working days of cancelling your registration.
