Illustration for Impounding Act 1955

When you take an animal to a pound, you must give the poundkeeper some information in writing. You need to tell them what the animal looks like, how many there are, and any brands or earmarks it has. You also need to say who you think the owner is, where you found the animal, and how much you want to charge for taking care of it and moving it to the pound.
