Charitable Trusts Act 1957

Schemes in respect of certain charitable trusts

33: Extension of powers or alteration of mode of administration of trust

You could also call this:

“Changing how a charitable trust is run to make it work better”

This section talks about what can be done when property or money is given or held for a charitable purpose. If managing the property or money, or carrying out the trust, could be made easier by changing how the trustees work or how the trust is run, then changes can be made. The trustees might get more powers, or the way the trust is managed might be changed.

These changes can be made in the way described later in this part of the law. However, this doesn’t limit any powers that the court or trustees already have under the Trusts Act 2019 or any other law.

Remember, if you want to know more about the Trusts Act 2019, you can look it up online using the link provided in the original text.
