Charitable Trusts Act 1957

Incorporation of trust boards

30A: Society may reregister under Incorporated Societies Act 2022

You could also call this:

“Societies can choose to stay as they are or become a new type of group”

If you are a society that has been incorporated as a board under this part of the law, you can choose to stay incorporated under this law. This is still true even though the law has been changed by sections 259 to 267 of the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.

You also have another choice. If you want, you can apply to become a society under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 instead. To do this, you need to follow the rules in Part 1 of Schedule 1 of that Act. You can find more information about this in clause 2(4) of that schedule.
