Charitable Trusts Act 1957

Incorporation of trust boards

22A: Acknowledgement of registration

You could also call this:

“Trust boards must confirm they're registered when asked, except for charitable groups”

When you’re part of a trust board, you need to be ready to confirm that you’re registered. The person in charge of registering trust boards, called the Registrar, might ask you to do this. They can ask for this confirmation once a year at most.

When you confirm your registration, you’ll need to give some information. The rules about what information you need to give are set out in other documents. These could be regulations or instructions from the Registrar.

However, if you’re part of a special kind of organisation called a charitable entity, you don’t need to do this. Charitable entities are defined in a different law called the Charities Act 2005.
