When you are making decisions or taking action under the Health and Disability Commissioner Act 1994, you must consider the Government Policy Statement on Health. You must also think about any health strategy issued under the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022, as long as it applies to the situation. You need to consider the objectives of Health New Zealand, which are set out in section 13 of the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022. This means you have to think about what the government and Health New Zealand want to achieve when you are making decisions or taking action under this Act.
