The Director of Advocacy acts for the Crown when buying advocacy services for you. They negotiate and agree on the terms of these services. They also check how well these services are being provided. When the Director of Advocacy makes an agreement with someone to provide advocacy services, that person must follow any guidelines that are in place under section 28. This section does not limit any other laws or powers that the Minister or the Crown has under other laws.
