Health and Disability Commissioner Act 1994

Miscellaneous provisions - Delegations

71: Revocation of delegations

You could also call this:

"Stopping a job that was given to you by someone in charge"

Illustration for Health and Disability Commissioner Act 1994

If you are given a job to do by someone in charge, this is called a delegation. You can be told to stop doing this job at any time, and this must be done in writing. When you are given a job to do, you keep doing it until you are told to stop, even if the person who gave you the job is no longer in charge. The person who takes over the job of the person who gave you the task can still tell you what to do, as if they were the one who originally gave you the job, and this is according to what is stated in section 68(4) or (5).
