Illustration for Health and Disability Commissioner Act 1994

When a complaint is sent to an agency or person under section 34, they must do a few things. They must let the Commissioner know they got the complaint right away. They must also tell the Commissioner about any big steps they take to look at the complaint. You can think of big steps like making a decision or finding out new information. The agency or person must also tell the Commissioner what happens with the complaint in the end.
