12Chief Archivist to act independently

  1. In relation to the performance of his or her functions and duties and to the exercise of his or her powers under sections 11(1)(b) and (d), 20(1), and 30, the Chief Archivist—

  2. must act independently in exercising his or her professional judgement; and
    1. is not subject to direction from either the Minister or the chief executive.
