Restricted access records
50Period for which restricted access may apply
The period of time for which public access to a public record may be restricted under section 44(3)(a)(i), may—
- on the written request of the Chief Archivist, be reviewed after the expiry of 10 years from the date that the restriction is recorded in the public access register; and
- before its expiry, be extended for further periods as specified by the administrative head of the controlling public office.
