Illustration for Tax Administration Act 1994

You need to give the Commissioner information about dividends. You must do this in electronic form and by the 20th of the month after you pay the dividend. You can find out what information to give in schedule 6, table 1, rows 1 to 11, 14, and 16 to 22. You also need to follow a special rule for some dividends, which are described in section CD 1(3) of the Income Tax Act 2007. For these dividends, you treat the DRCD deferral date as the date you pay the dividend. This means you use the DRCD deferral date to work out when to give the Commissioner the information.
