When the Minister is creating or changing a strategy to improve children's well-being under section 6, they must think about some important principles. You need to know that these principles are about making sure policies are based on evidence that they will work. The Minister must also think about how to stop bad things from happening to children, or fix them quickly if they do happen.

The Minister must also consider evaluating whether the Government's policies are effective. In this case, policies refer to what the Government is doing or plans to do to achieve the goals of the strategy. The Minister has to think about these principles to make good decisions about the strategy to improve children's well-being.
