Integrity codes and anti-doping rules - Integrity codes

22: Commission must review integrity codes

You could also call this:

"The Commission checks sport rules every 3 years to ensure they are fair and working well."

Illustration for Integrity Sport and Recreation Act 2023

The Commission has to check the integrity codes every 3 years to make sure they are still working well and meeting the needs of participants. You can think of participants as the people involved in sport and recreation. The Commission checks if the codes are fit for purpose, which means they are doing what they are supposed to do.

When the Commission makes a new code or changes an existing one, it has to follow certain rules, which are explained in sections 19 to 21. These rules help the Commission make sure the new or changed code is good and fair.

The Commission's review of the integrity codes is an important job, and it helps keep the codes up to date and working well for everyone involved in sport and recreation.
