The Commission can publish a report about an investigation under section 31 or 32. You can think of the Commission like a group that helps keep sports fair and honest. When they publish a report, they have to be careful about including personal information.

If the Commission wants to include personal information in a report, they need to get the person's consent first. This means the person has to agree to their information being shared. But if the Commission thinks it is really important for the public to know the information, they can include it even without the person's consent.

The Commission follows the same rules about personal information as the Privacy Act 2020, which is a law that helps protect people's private information. This law says what personal information is, and the Commission uses this definition when deciding what to include in a report. You can find out more about what personal information means by looking at section 7(1) of the Privacy Act 2020.
