Integrity Sport and Recreation Act 2023

Integrity Sport and Recreation Commission

14: Requirements for Commission’s procedures

You could also call this:

"The Commission must follow fair procedures that respect people's rights and needs."

When the Integrity Sport and Recreation Commission does its job, it must follow procedures that are fair and suitable for the situation. You can expect these procedures to think about what participants need, including their feelings and other needs like their age or culture. The Commission must also protect participants' human rights, like their right to privacy, and make sure children and young people are treated in the best way possible.

The Commission's procedures must also follow rules about anti-doping and integrity, which are important for fair sport. If you want to know more about similar laws, you can look at the legislation from 1986. The Commission's procedures are designed to be fair and consider the needs of all participants.
