Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008

Registration - Registration of financial service provider - Reregistration of financial service provider

22A: Registrar must not reregister financial adviser if direction has been made

You could also call this:

“The Registrar can't sign up a financial adviser again if they were told not to”

If someone wants to reregister as a financial adviser, the Registrar cannot allow it during a certain time period. This happens when the Registrar has been told not to let that person reregister. The instruction to not let the person reregister comes from specific parts of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. These parts are called section 469(2)(b)(ii) or clause 46(3)(b)(ii) of Schedule 5. If the Registrar gets this instruction, they must follow it and not let the person reregister as a financial adviser during that time.
