Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008

Dispute resolution - Approval of dispute resolution schemes - Rules about approved dispute resolution scheme

64: Obligation to publish rules

You could also call this:

“Dispute scheme bosses must show the rules to everyone”

If you are in charge of an approved dispute resolution scheme, you need to make sure everyone can see the rules about the scheme. You must do two things:

First, you need to have copies of the rules at the main office of the scheme. Anyone can come to the office during normal working hours and look at these rules for free.

Second, you must put the rules on a website. This means anyone with internet can see the rules at any time, also for free.

These steps are important because they help everyone understand how the dispute resolution scheme works.
