Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008

Dispute resolution - Approval of dispute resolution schemes - Annual reports and information requests by Minister

70: Annual report and information requested by Minister to be publicly available

You could also call this:

“The public can see reports about how complaints are handled”

The person in charge of an approved dispute resolution scheme needs to make sure everyone can see their yearly report. You can look at this report for free in two ways:

  1. You can go to the main office of the scheme during regular work hours and ask to see it.

  2. You can find it on the internet at any time. The report will be on a website that anyone can access.

This rule helps make sure that information about how the scheme is working is available to everyone who wants to know about it.
